FAQ's
How do I order ?Custom sewing means that I take your individual measurements and sew a garment to fit exactly those measurements. It would be very rarer to find off the rack clothing to fit your exact measurements. Everybody is different, and custom sewing means you will always look your best in the clothes you wear. Back to TopCan I send you my own fabrics, patterns, etc?Yes, given a few standards: It must be modest (below knee length when seated, arms covered at least to the cap, neckline not more than two finches below collarbone) The pattern cannot be Vouge (they do not, unfortunately, let their patterns be used by small businesses) The materials cannot be from Wall-Mart. I do not agree with the way they treat their employees, and I find their strategies unChristian. Their materials are usually of an inferior quality, to boot. Back to TopWhat kind of materials do you use?I only use high quality materials bought from places with consistently good reputations and good labor relations. I particularly like fabrics.com and denverfabrics.com. Occasionally, I'll find a good deal on a pricy fabric and will pass that savings on to you. Nothing- not thread, buttons, patterns, fabric or anything- I use come from Wall-Mart. I will also not sew from anything bought from Wal-Mart. I never line anything with acetate, I will instead use china silk or polyester. Back to TopCan you hem, take in, let out, etc, this item for me?This would be best left to your local seamstress. I live on Forbes Ave, in downtown Pittsburgh, so unless you can get down there I would rather not do any minor repairs. Back to TopI'm an international customer. May I still place an order?Yes, but you must first email me with all the specifics of your order and your country of origin, so I may calculate shipping costs. Back to TopCan I pay by money order?Sure. Email me and I will tell you where to send it. I do not except personal checks.
