'The Importance of Correct Corseting'
|
The Modern Priscilla was a home, garden and needlecraft magazine published from the late 1800's to 1930. Each issue is full of articles on making clothing, having parties, cooking on a budget, planting a garden and taking care of babies. While there are numerous publications focusing on how the wealthy Edwardians lived, very few show the middle class life depicted in The Modern Priscilla. On these pages you will find articles and pictures from three different magazines. Each section is broken up into photographs of fashion, needlework, cooking and miscellaneous. I hope you find them as beneficial as I have. Do keep in mind that I own these magazines and a significant amount of time went into taking the photographs and writing the articles. Please enjoy the images for your own personal use only. March 1911 Article-'The Importance of Proper Corseting."
